This pencil drawing is a copy of a Picasso drawing and is an exercise from the book Drawing on the Right Side of the Brain. The drawing was done upside down, observing a photo of the original drawing. While not an exact copy, the technique seems to allow a sense of originality to the copy, with a naturalness to the lines drawn. A fascinating exercise, and one I encourage my kids to try when they are struggling to draw something they see.
