Craig switched over to a disc equipped ‘cross bike for the 2013/14 cyclocross season. His bike came with tubeless ready clincher cyclocross wheels. After a few DNFs racing in the early season cross races due to tubeless burping, he’d had enough and longed for a tubular setup. Now in graduate studies, Craig needed a decent disc tubular setup on a budget. He asked ZED to come up with something affordable. The obvious choice is a new rim for 2013, a 23mm wide niobium alloy tubular rim. It’s lightweight at 420 grams per hoop and paired to Taiwanese OEM disc hubs not only allowed us to keep the cost at bay, but also offered low spoke count front – 24h.  The setup weighs in at a very respectable 1450g.
