After graduating from BCIT, I joined a hydrographic surveying firm in Houston, TX. My first assignment was a six week survey in the Bering Sea. We spent a couple days in Dutch Harbor, a small village in the Aleutian Islands. The grass covered hills around the village featured several WWII bunkers. I recently purchased a film scanner, the Epson V600. It has allowed me to not only continue shooting film, which I enjoy, but also to rediscover old photographs and slides from years ago.
These images were shot on a Nikon F3 HP camera with a Nikkor 50mm f1.4 lens on Kodak Kodachrome slide film. I sold this camera in 1986 to pay for university tuition. A couple years ago, I purchased a near mint Nikon F3 HP and have been using it occasionally, mostly with b&w film.
