Incompleteness. It sounds so negative. It's essentially my entire work in oil on canvas. I 'finished' one painting, then decided I wasn't happy with it and painted over it. This unfinished bicycle race painting sits in a Rubbermaid box in my storage. It will likely never be finished. I think I returned to the camera…Read more ronde van vlaanderen

One Shoe
I sketched this one late evening in the fall of 1998. I was looking for a 'subject' to draw and tripped over my shoes at the front door. Problem solved.... subject in hand. A Johnny Fluevog shoe.

The second, a 1986 Honda CRX. At the time, I owned a 1975 Honda Civic and I was…Read more Lotus Esprit & Honda CRX

Unfinished Nude

I played around with older techniques of layering semi transparent oils over previous light layers. The result is some interesting depth, not fully captured in the photograph of the painting. This painting…Read more Unfinished Nude
Hardy’s wine bottle 1998
Back in 1998 I was living in Vancouver, BC in a beautiful little 1920s bungalow in south Kerrisdale on Yew Street. I would spend my days cycling and the evenings and nights drawing and painting. I used pastels on paper for this study.
